Budapest has been voted among the 10 most Instagrammable cities in Europe by many sites and anyone who has been there cannot argue with that. There are many spots around the city to inspire you, but most of the insane architecture is on the Buda side. Get up early in the morning, as Budapest can get really busy during the day and go to each of these following locations for your Instagram photo.

1. Fisherman’s Bastion
An absolute MUST when visiting Budapest and without a doubt one of the most Instagrammable locations in Budapest. Each shot will be captivating and magical, especially if you go around 8 in the morning when hundreds of tourists have not yet arrived. Half Gothic, half fairytale style, Fisherman´s Bastion has more than 10 spots for some unique and incredible pictures.
2. New York Cafe
A very elegant cafe and one of the oldest in Budapest, located inside Boscolo Hotel. The decor is stunning, ´in eclectic Italian Renaissance-style´ and ´the menu recalls the multicultural cuisine of the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy´. If you arrive after 9 in the morning be prepared for a long waiting line.

3. Chain Bridge
It has been said by many that Chain Bridge is the most beautiful bridge in Europe and only a few can disagree. The bridge connects Buda and Pest, the old and new city. There is a sidewalk across it for you to walk on it. Otherwise, you will definitely pass through by bus on your way to most sights. You must remember that it is maybe the busiest bridge, so go early in the morning or before nightfall.
4. Hungarian Parliament
The most beautiful and grant building in Europe. It is breathtaking both during the day and at night, but also from both sides. Across the river, at Batthyány tér metro stop you can get an insane shot of the whole parliament and the Danube river. Here you can get the perfectly framed shot of the entire parliament and the river. Fisherman´s Bastion is also a great location to capture the building. However, at night the view from across will simply leave you speechless.
5. Aria Hotel Budapest
Located near St Stephen’s Cathedral, the Aria Hotel is known for its rooftop bar with views of the cathedral roof. Head straight to the rooftop for some great panoramic views.

6. Vintage Garden
A French-like bistro, with a romantic decoration, makes it the perfect spot for date night. The cafe is filled with pink flowers and offers a great selection of wines, cakes and a candy bar. Candies and flowers all in pink, always look great on Instagram.

7. Buda Castle
Another amazing vantage point for incredible shots. You have a great view of the Danube river and the Chain Bridge. Taking pictures with a view will be much easier here.
8. Gellért Hill & Citadella
Citadella is not really photogenic, but your way towards the sight is filled with great views and many highpoints. Going up on foot is the best option if you want to let the photographer inside you get inspired.
9. Margaret Island
Not many visit Margaret Island, something that is a big mistake. The ´island´ is quite big and will take you 2 to 3 hours to explore. You will have the opportunity to get some great shots at the Japanese and Rose gardens and the ruins. The musical fountain, the zoo, the romantic paths will be more crowded but are still quite Instagrammable. For some extra fun, you can rent a funky vehicle that is in the park, to explore the park faster.
10. Thermal Baths
There are many thermal bath locations in Budapest, but the most famous ones are Gellért, Rudas and Szechenyi. You can visit the one that best attracts you and your photography wants. Gellért is in closed space but with a Renaissance-inspired decoration, with columns and sculptures. Szechenyi is famous for its outdoor thermal pool and Rudas is perfect for the night shots you want, since on Fridays and Saturdays and it is also open from 22.00 to 04.00
